At the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 an armistice agreement was signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne in France which signalled the end of hostilities on the Western Front.
The Mitchell Shire Concert Band, together with; Sean McKenna (Welded Shut Productions), District 9 of the Returned Services League (RSL), Broadford Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS), and Seymour Performers Workshop (SPW), are planning a series of shows to commemorate the centenary of this important historic event.
